ARNAUD BAILLOT
Arnaud Baillot SAS is located in Beaune, heart of the Cote d’Or. With the release of 2015, Arnaud Baillot, owner and co-winemaker, is launching his first vintage of limited edition Burgundy crus.
Passionate about the diversity of wines the Burgundy region has to offer, Arnaud has teamed up with enologist friend, Frederic Martine, to produce a spectacular range of villages and crus Burgundy wines. Arnaud has been hands-on all along the way, selecting the origin of the grapes, micromanaging the winemaking process, choosing the type of barrels and ageing time for each individual wine.
The winemaking process lasted 3 weeks in temperature controlled vats. 2015, being a sunny vintage, all wines are similar to the ones of 2009, and are easier to drink now. Arnaud decided to age whites and reds for 12 months in 2-3 year-old French oak barrels in order to bring a certain level of structure to each cru while respecting the typicity of each terroir (also called “climat” in Burgundy).
Respecting the tradition, these exceptional wines are presented in the authentic, heavy glass bottles used for high-end Burgundy wines in the 19th century.
